  Sumiju SCE ( Xiamen ) Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. (SSCM) is a joint venture co-founded by Sumitomo (S.H.I.) Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. ( a company under Sumitomo Group ( Japan ) and South China Heavy Industry ( Xiamen ) Co., Ltd. (a company under South China Group ( Hong Kong ) Limited (SCE). It is on the basis of long-established manufacturer-agent relations between Sumitomo and SCE, that the joint venture was incorporated so as to further expand market share and improve both Sumitomo 's brand popularity and after-sales service. The Company has a registered capital of RMB30 million yuan where Sumitomo occupies 51% while SCE, 49%. Starting business on March 1, 2004 , it primarily deals with import & export, marketing and after-sales service for construction machinery (such as hydraulic excavators) and the parts of such machinery produced by Sumitomo (S.H.I.) Construction Machinery Co., Ltd.
   The functional departments of the joint venture include: Marketing Dept., No. 1 Sales Dept., No. 2 Sales Dept., No. 3 Sales Dept., Logistics Dept., Service Dept., Spare Parts Dept., Administration Dept., Finance Dept., etc. The Japanese investor dispatches its senior management personnel to participate the management, while the Chinese investor frequently sends its specialized technical personnel and key-post personnel to Japan factories to receive trainings. Meantime the staff education and training system is improved unceasingly.
The headquarters of the joint venture is located in Xiamen ; its head business office is at 14/F, Hongye Building , No. 201 North Hubin Road ; its head service office is at No. 278-288 South Tongji Road , Jimei District of Xiamen. The Company has set up agency shops all over China ; offices are also established in Hong Kong , Beijing , etc. The huge sale service network will be utilized to provide quality products and all-around services to the Chinese market.
